Many people believe in God, want to do what is right, and truly desire to change, but still find themselves falling back into old patterns. We want to be patient, but we snap. We want to trust God, but we worry. We want to forgive, but resentment returns. We want to live differently, but the struggle within is real.
Romans 7 does not name this struggle to bury us in shame. It names the struggle so we can bring it into the light and turn toward Jesus Christ, who meets us with rescuing grace.
In this sermon, we explore why trying harder is not always enough, how old patterns can feel like a battle within, and why the deepest question is not “How can I fix myself?” but “Who will deliver me?”
